Noise Fields is an original pen plot series created using a generative system based on Perlin Noise, a type of gradient noise invented by Ken Perlin in 1983. The system uses the values from a two-dimensional area of the noise algorithm (unique to each piece) to adjust the size and displacement of the many tiny circles, creating an illusion of depth and texture reminiscent of waves or fabric.
